FutureHusband-1

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe I have found a man worthy of being my future husband (well for this week, that is). Wendell Lissimore, a french model noted to be the 'next best thing in male modeling.' Very often compared to Tyson Beckford in his prime, it's seems as though Lissimore is making his own moves with his versatile portfolio.

GuysCan'tEverHush.

I just had to post this following link for everyone to see.

Entertainment Tonight interviewed both Rihanna and Chris Brown at the BET Awards and asked the obvious question, "What's going on with you and Rihanna/Chris Brown?" Notice how they both respond to the question. Chris Brown had me dying. That boy can not seal his lips for nothing!

Click the link below to watch.

Rihanna/Chris Brown Responses - NecoleBitchie.com

Post-Script: I'm sorry for all the Chris Brown posts. He's just been all over the place lately...and this video is just too funny not to post up.

Post-Post Script: So Chris Brown and Ne-Yo are now beefing? Ne-Yo released a "diss song" over Lil' Wayne's "Milli" track responded to Chris Brown's statement regarding the difference in sales when comparing himself to Ne-Yo. This is ridiculous. They are both very talented, successful artists, why waste time bashing each other when you can put that same energy into bettering your craft. Anywho, I will try to find a link with the "diss song" so you all can hear it for yourselves. =]

NoMatterWhat-T.I.

I salute T.I. for this song and for appropriately making it his first single off of "Paper Trail." Enjoy.

Mr.C.RoughBrown.

As you all probably know by now, David Banner is back out again with "Get Like Me" feat. Yung Joc and Chris Breezy! (lol) Well...I am liking what I see in this video. I don't know WHAT it is, but....David Banner looks, sort of, like, you know, fine in this video...shoot...lately since he's been back out in the scene again...he's been looking really nice; he looks like he's been working out, he cut his long beard-thing he had going on (thank you jesus!), and his wardrobe has even changed. I'm definitely digging this look for him.

Now, Chris Brown...well do I start? Well, first of all, when I first heard this song and heard Chris Brown's part and I was like, "what? Chris Brown with David Banner? Good look." Then, I heard what he was saying and I responded, "Am I hearing things? Chris Brown talking like he's rough and all? Haha...I love it." And THEN I saw this video and let me tell you guys...if Chris Brown acts the way he does in this video and LOOKS the way he does in this video...I will...I can't even say...you have to see my face right now (lol). See, Chris Brown was always a little cutie pie...but he was too cookie cutter for me, and I understand why he gave that appearance because he's a role model to young kids...BUT I always wanted to see a more grown side to him. And I know, I know, the "Take you Down" video...blahblahblah. Honestly, that video does nothing for me (lol...I'm the only person who feels that way lol). In this "Get Like Me" video though...his swagger...and his wardrobe (well some of it...). I can't even explain it...like the way he carries himself in this video, the way he checks the other girls out, his flirtatious smile, the fitted khakis he has on, the way his sounds aggressive when he says "Stuntin' is a habit!" OOhh wee!

Let me give you all a scenario: I meet Chris Brown for the first time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cookie Cutter Brown:

He'll talk to me, I'll give a little chit chat, laugh, flirt back, and get on with my life.

Mr. C. Rough Brown:

He'll talk to me and the whole time I'll smile (not a big cheesy smile, but a flirtatious one, duh lol) and make conversation...while in my mind I'm thinking, "man, he's fine!" and hopefully an etc.

Big difference! Mr. C. Rough Brown can be the business...now Cookie Cutter Brown...he'll be like that pal that you have that is so adorable to you...everyone else thinks he's hot, but you just see him as your buddy!

OVERALL, the video is a good look for both David Banner and Chris Brown (lol).

Post-script: I didn't forget about Yung Joc. He just doesn't show a huge difference appearance-wise so it wasn't a big deal to mention him, but one thing I love about Joc is his voice...it's so different.

Post-Post Script: Excuse my writing, I was trying to write as if I was directly speaking with you. =]

Here's the video, Enjoy. (Copyright Universal Music Group)

ErikaRose.

I present to you all, Erika Rose. A beautiful and nevertheless talented singer-songwriter-musician from Brooklyn, NY bringing a breath of fresh air to the music scene. You may have seen her opening for Alicia Keys in the "As I Am" tour. Her music consists of an indescribable blend of SoulPop (soulful pop music), Jazz, and Rock; definitely opening its self to a wide variety of listeners. >If you have been an active viewer of my blog you would probably recognize her from one of the songs I have posted on here in the past.<

She has an album out, appropriately titled, "Rosegarden," which you can download off of ITunes or visit her website ErikaRose.com to purchase the album at a discounted price. I'm giving you all my word, she is definitely worth a listen.

This is the second single titled, "Rosegarden." This song is impressive, with it's catchy hook, the listener is left asking "what or where is her rosegarden?" Hmm...

I personally love this video and song. (I have it on my IPod!) The concept of the video goes hand in hand with the vibe of the song. She looks beautiful in the video and I LOVE how the roses in the background pops out from the walls. Interesting enough, I always wanted to write a poem using a similar subliminal message in reference to the same subliminal message as the one displayed in the song, "Rosegarden." (Man! She beat me to it!) lol...I will hopefully still be inspired to write the poem one day. =]

Interesting fact about Erika Rose: Her long time pal is fellow Renaissance woman, Alicia Keys. She also co-wrote one of Key's hit singles, "A Woman's Worth," and was her road manager at the young age of 20!

QuoteOfTheDay.

"If the house ain't for sale, take the sign off the lawn."

I read this off one of the comments left on Kanye's Blog in reference to pictures Kanye posted of Rita G.

Someone made this comment regarding the numerous of pictures Rita G takes with her legs wide open (definitely NOT attractive if you ask me, but hey...in the words of Katt Williams "by all means, do you boo boo").

RandomEvents.

You know, my life is really random; every day is full of events that bounce from east to west, north to south.

-I have great GAY-dar. A few days ago I was at school walking towards the bus stop, when I see this dude and in my head I'm thinking "nice outfit, and he's cute." As I walk and continue to analyze, I check his shoes and my gay-dar goes crazy! It's like sirens going "gay alert! gay alert!" So I then sit next to him, waiting for the bus (and yes I ride the bus...I'm the last person on earth who doesn't have a license) I couldn't resist to listening to his phone conversion (hey, I needed some excitement after sitting in class for 2 hours+). He was talking to a dude about some other guy who he found cute and found him cute as well (bingo!). It was actually interesting, but I don't feel like typing everything. Any way, after a while of being nosey....after I had the assurance that he was gay, I put on my headphones and went on to listening to my Snowflake (IPod).

-I attract the funniest people at times. The other day I was shopping around with my little sister. In one of the stores, there was an African guy who worked there. I asked him for help bc I couldn't reach to get a top I wanted. So as he got the shirt for me he was talking to me and...flirting (lol). He had a really thick accent...sooo...I couldn't even understand half of what he was saying...AND...his phone kept going off and man I wish I could remember what song came on but it was the FUNNIEST and sooo CHEESY! After he gave me the top, he kept trying to talk to me, but I dipped!

-I hate walking down my street when it's dark out. When I come home from class, it's usually dark out, so you could just imagine how fast I walk from the bus stop to my house. The other day I was walking and I noticed this car (opposite side from me, on my left) stopped and the driver looked at me and made a U-Turn with his car as though trying to park next to me. I started walking sooo fast AND I crossed the street (lol) . When I looked back, still walking fast as ever, I noticed that the car was not there anymore...strange. See, I have this fear of strangers, especially at night. Every time a car slows down next to me or there's someone strange behind me...I get on survival mode REAL quick...and I know whoever is around me notices that.

-Today I left my phone at a Friendly's parking lot...AND...I didn't even notice I lost my phone until my friend, Alisa, told me that I lost my phone; the person who found my phone text her. I called and the manager is now holding my phone at Friendly's for me tomorrow after 3. I am so lucky he found it because if it would have been anyone else, most likely, I would not know what happened to my phone. Seriously, if my head was not attached to me, I would have lost that too...a long time ago! (lol)

-I am in love with the show "Noah's Arc." I have hard about it before. but never had the opportunity to actually watch it. I just ran into tonight. I was ready to watch "Soul Food" on BET Jazz, when out of no where...no "Soul Food". They were showing "Noah's Arc" instead. So, I decided to watch it and I am so glad I did, but I'm not going to say too much on the show bc I actually want to write about it and its corresponding issues in another post. =]

There are sooo many random events that have occurred within this week, but my memory is off. I might edit this post as I remember more. Besides that, toodles.

Lovely.

...I am IN LOVE with this gown.

VideoOfTheWeek.-1

BEST performance of the night, next to Al Green of course. Enjoy.

Paris,Tokyo.

I know I might be a tad but late with this, but I'm not EVERYONE has seen this video....so here it goes! A fan favorite, "Paris, Tokyo" Lupe Fiasco.

---Check out the suits....very dapper if I may say so myself...and really peep the cuff links.

I really like this video. It shows a different side of Lupe Fiasco. I'm digging it, like a grave baby! Tell me what you guys think? Is the video as great as the song? Any ideas on what should have been the concept of the video? Any add ons, take outs? Let me know.

Post-script: I thought it would be neat if I post a video up on here at least once a week and call it the "Video of the Week." Don't get me wrong, sometimes I may post more than one a week, but only ONE can be the "Video of the Week." (lol) I'm not talking about only music videos too...various videos! Might give you some B. Scott one day, maybe a classic, Nas...or even maybe a video from my own collection. Hmm...

ChildPhotography.

You know what I just realized, other than I love photography, I really love taking pictures of children. It's great to see how excited the kids get when I show them their picture afterwards. I love it! It's definitely now in my list of favorite past times. I don't really want to make it some type of profession; I just want to take pictures. These are some pictures I took during my cousin Mabel's Graduation BBQ yesterday.

Cousin Samantha ... she loves to ride on bikes...like me!

Cousin Stephanie...this picture is so beautiful because it's so effortless. Her personality peeks through in the photo. She's so pure as she is portrayed here.

Cousin Dylan...he's my personal little model...he gets so happy when he sees the camera flash.

I likethis picture too. I like how Samantha is more towards the camera compared to Taiz.

SeeingSounds.

After being backed up with numerous new releases. I am back with my CD Reviews. Yay! ;-)

Artist/Album
: N*E*R*D / "Seeing Sounds"
Genre: Now, can we really specify their sound into ONE genre? I don't think so.
Guests include: No guests, only Pharrell, Chad, and Shay

N*E*R*D is back at it again with their new release, "Seeing Sounds." This is definitely going to be a fan favorite. N*E*R*D brings their classic sound with a concoction of refreshing, illustrious sounds. From beginning to end, the album places the listener in Cloud 9 and consistently leaves them their throughout the entire album.

"Seeing Sounds" opens up with the song, "Time for Some Action" which places you into some sort of circus with the sounds floating. Pharrell opens the album in this song explaining the moment he began 'seeing sounds.' Then, the beat drops and your mind slips into a hypnotic bass and drum beat where Shay and Pharrell go back and forth in their rhymes describing their scenarios to their 'lover.' Shay explains it best when he says, "Don't u mistake this ma this is not love, It's lust, No cuddles and hugs, This is for floor and rugs." "Yeah You" is about an obsessive lady friend who after one moment together with Pharrell, she begins to blow up Pharrell's phone, and as much as everyone explains to her that there is nothing there...the words go in one ear and come out the other. One line says "I bet you heard this song wanna know what I'm talkin bout...You!" This line implies that the girl is in denial. "Happy" is a song about finally getting over a relationship. In this song, Pharrell states that he was played as a dummy, but if glad that he now realizes that she is the dumb one for losing him. (She must regret it now).

Overall, the album is great; definitely not a disappointment. ::Some foreign accent lol:: So go and buy it chea?!

Favorite Tracks

----------------

I like the entire album, but a few stand out tracks in my opinion include:

-Time for Some Action
-Everyone NOSE (of course)
-Spaz
-Anti Matter
-Sooner or Later
-Love Bomb
-Laugh About It

You all know that I just couldn't resist lol

ColorfulLanguage.

If I told you this is Nas, would you believe me?

This is indeed Mr. Nastradamus himself. Nas is featured in a new spread for Complex magazine with a (I don't want to say 'new' look) refreshing look. What do you think? Do you like it? Would you have ever imagined Nas wearing an outfit such as the one pictured above? Let me know.

sidebar: Personally, I like it.

Game5.

Sorry I couldn't post Game 4 ... I was at Wildwood so I wasn't able to watch the game.

Game Five -

Celtics 3-2 Lakers

Game Six -

Tonight at 8:30 (Eastern) on ABC (you do not want to miss this game)

This game was something. LA Lakers defense was -_- during this game. One word: Sloppy. In my opinion, they were lucky they won playing like that, but in Boston tonight...they might not be as lucky. Pierce was on fire! He took full advantage of Bryant sitting out for part of the game. The way he flew past the Lakers looked like Moses splitting the Red Sea in half. Great hustle.

I'm not picking best player for this game because I feel as though none of the Lakers were playing up to part. If the Celtics would have won, I would have given the title to Pierce.

Remember, Game 6 tonight at Boston 8:30 (Eastern) on ABC.

PetPeeves.

Pet Peeve (n.)

Something about which one frequently complains; a particular personal vexation.

The reason I bring this up is because, I have realized that there are certain scenarios that just plain 'ol irk me! So I created my own list of my Top 5 Pet Peeves (thanks to B. Scott).

Keila's Top 5 Pet Peeves
------------------------

1. When I have to repeat myself more than TWICE! See, I understand that sometimes people do not catch certain things the first time they hear it...so I do not mind repeating myself again, but when they don't catch it AGAIN...that's when I get aggravated. Oh...another thing that coincides with this is when I'm talking to someone and they are not paying attention to me! Ugh...and they're the one that asked to hear my story in the first place! If you want to hear me...then listen...of not, don't ask to hear it then. It's that simple. lol

2. Ugh...when I'm in the bus and you clearly see that my bag is next to me and you decide to sit there without even saying 'excuse me'! See, I KNOW you can see there are obviously other unoccupied seats around me. Why sit where my bag is. If my bag is there or anything of mine...that obviously means that I do not want someone to sit next to me. Duh! And to be rude and not ask if you can sit there...see now...that's rude.

3. When you're extremely lovey dovey with your 'boo' right in front of me. At first, I wold probably think 'aww, that's cute.' but after a while...enough! I do not want to see you and your 'boo' kissing, rubbing, about to get down in front of me! Save that for your private time. And then, they talk to me like they're not all licking each other and stuff. No no...I don't need to be part of that...save it please.

4. When radio stations have contests and you have to be a certain number in their texts in order to win. What ever happened to being the (certain number) caller? Texting makes it soooo much harder to win! Not only that...but sometimes the station responds to the text super late. So what's going on?! Keep up! Oh...and when they say the number to text to SUPER fast and not repeat the number. Man...maybe this makes me mad because I still haven't won Glow in the Dark tickets lol. AND...since we're in the subject of winning tickets. It annoys me how certain people act like they can't help anyone win tickets when the person HELPED THEM win their tickets! Wow...ungrateful. ::Shaking my head:: That's life though, right?

5. When people just plain ol' HATE! I'm saying, I know they say it's a good thing when someone hates on you, but sometimes...it's just SO unnecessary. Are you that self-conscious that you have to hurt others...ESPECIALLY when they never did anything to you? Ugh...even worst...you don't even know them! I guess 'hating' will never die. Like, when people critique others on their performances, but won't back their critiques up. Well, if it sucked that bad...why don't you go up there and show everyone what you have up your sleeve? What is that? Uhh...you can't? Yea...I thought so.

Well that concludes my Top 5 Pet Peeves! Wish me luck in winning Glow in the Dark tour tickets. You all already know that I have been wanting them for soooo long. Shoot...I was talking about this tour back when it was a rumor! That's why it sucks how everyone else gets to go, but ME! This tour was made for me! You all already know I LOVE Lupe Fiasco. I LOVE N*E*R*D*! and KANYE! Rihanna...I have her Good Girl Gone Bad cd, but I'm not excited for this tour just because of her, ya know?

GameTwo.

Game Two -

2-0 Boston Celtics

Game Three -

Tuesday at 8:30PM (Eastern Time)

Man, the fourth quarter of Game Two was intense!!! The Celtics got too comfortable with their lead in this quarter and boom! there came the Lakers 2 points behind them with 30 seconds (I believe) on the clock. My heart was pounding! And AMAZING hustle by Pierce. I saw Kobe READY to shoot a lay up, but Pierce made sure that didn't happen, getting fouled with 10 seconds (I believe) on the clock. Unbelievable! I can not wait for Game Three. That's when the REAL game begins. Those Lakers fans are no joke, and the Lakers most definitely feed off of it.

Post-script: Leon Powe was incredible in Game Two. Talk about heart. He definitely deserved the title of "Best Player for Game Two."

Attractiveness,etc.

These past few days have been crazy. A lot of deep thoughts have been pondering through my mind. I do not want to really get into detail about that though; have to keep some parts of my life private, ya know?

Anywho, a lot of the thoughts have been totally random, and you know what has been brought to my attention: People really do not know who I am. It's as though I let off a certain persona which makes it easy to generalize my personality; my like, dislikes, etc.

One example, my friend Eric told me yesterday that he did not know that I was such a huge basketball fan, he thought I only liked Dwayne Wade lol. First, I was surprised that he remembered that I'm a Wade fan. Secondly, do I appear so delicate that I can't be into sports? Well, I just simply replied and said that I'm a huge sports fan; basketball being one of my favorites. And it's crazy how guys get wide-eyed when they hear me talking about sports...as though I'm not supposed to be into that. But you know what I don't like...no matter how much I may know...the guys I meet will always believe they know more than I do. Why? Because I'm a girl. One thing I always hear though is that guys find it attractive when girls are into sports. I beg to differ because there are a lot of girls who plays sports and never had a guy look at them in that way. I guess they find "girly girls" who like sports attractive? Do you agree? Well whatever it is...I don't care about the appeal in my part. I don't like sports to impress anyone...it's just something I have been into ever since I could remember. Can you relate?

Another thing people don't really know about me is that I used to be a tomboy growing up. I used to wear baggy jeans with Air Forces and fitted caps lol. I played softball, volleyball, and sometimes basketball...as well as cheerleading for like 10 years (it is a sport too, ya know). My father was the one who really got me into it I think. Since my father never had a son...I think he kind of tried to make me his son (lmao). Not literally, of course, but I mean...we used to watch sports together since I was a tidbit. I remember, one summer, all I did was go to day camp, come home, make a grilled cheese sandwich, and watch baseball mostly by myself. Haha...I never really shared that with anyone. I think only my best friend knows that I used to do that because she used to call me during the games (lol).

I'll leave you all with that for now. =]

Post-script: Have you heard Lil' Wayne's new album, The Carter III? Haha! Hearing Wayne gives me the best laughs! "We are not the same, I am a Martian!" <<< LMAOOO

GameOne.

Game One -

1-0 Boston Celtics

Game Two -

Sunday at 8:30PM (Eastern Time)

This is truly anyone's game...Lakers offense vs. Celtics defense (that's how I see it)

post-script: I commend Pierce and his showmanship throughout Game One. He's a real trooper to go out there and play with a sprained knee. I tip my hat to you sir.

Okai...now time to hit the sack...I have to wake up at 6 AM!!! =/

YouTube.

You know, YouTube is the best!!! I go at least once a day, every day.

This video is from the Glow In The Dark Miami show. Chris Brown gave N.E.R.D. a hand with his moves for the audience. Haha! I love it...two of my men next to each other, looking fresh! I couldn't ask for more. =] Enjoy.

This video is from Hot 97's Summer Jam 2008. Lil' Wayne feat. My Wifey (lol), Kanye West - Lollipop (Remix). Now is Kanye fresh or is Kanye fresh? That is truly the question.

Late.

I know I'm late with this, but I know that some of you have still not seen the video, so here it goes, "Everybody NOSE" - N.E.R.D.

I love this video!!! I want to get involved in videos because of videos like this. Especially, "She Likes To Move!" That would've been an awesome video to be a part of. No doubt about it...I would have killed the main dancer's part in the video! She did an awesome job too though! It just looks like so much fun though.

>Only tasteful music videos though, you won't see me in any "Disco Inferno" and "Tip Drill" type of videos.< Man, there's so much I want to do. I guess I just want to be seen and heard. =]

MyFuture.

You know what I realized ... I might have to move to LA in order to really make it. That's going to be hard because I'm such an East Coast gal. I love the comfort of having the city a train ride away from my home and being able to experience the "city life" - flashing lights, fashion, concerts, cafes, architecture, everything! Los Angeles of course is a city of its own, but it's not New York City. LA is so high-maintenance, plastic! Don't get me wrong, I love it, but that's not my home.

The reason I bring this up is because I am set with what I want my future endeavors to be. I want to be a radio and television personality. I would love to host shows in MTV, BET, E!, etc. Ooh! I would loveeeee to host E! News and Entertainment Tonight! But guess what? All of those shows are filmed in Cali! At least I have BET and MTV close by me, right? In order to stand out though, it will take more than looks because there are sooo many beautiful woman trying to get in the industry, it's about personality and what sets you apart from the rest. I think I can bring something different (but of course everyone feels like that).

Also, I would loveeee to host or be a part of a Power 105 or Hot 97 radio show, here in the Tri-State area. It would also be cool to work with radio stations at Cali as well. I feel as though my musical taste will probably be more relateable to the Cali crowd just because the audience is a little more open-minded (not to say they're not here in NY).But with my radio show at school, I kind of know how to appeal to this crowd through experience. Mannn, I'm just hungry! I really want to make it...and I can!

My all time goal though...to have my own talk show! Everyone who really knows me knows (lot of knows lol) that I would feel as though I reached my zenith if I receive that. I can do it!

post-script: And of course, I would not mind working for my favorite magazines. It will hopefully allow me to write, which I enjoy doing. Not only that, but when I was younger I wanted to create my own magazine so the experience will definitely be beneficial.

NBAPlayoffs.

With all the Playoff madness going on right now. Who are you rooting for? LA Lakers or the Boston Celtics?

Personally, I am a Spurs and Nets fan, but since they are not in the final playoffs I am rooting for one of these two teams, but I will not say who (I don't want to jinx it). If you know me well, you know who I'm rooting for. (lol)

UsherInterview.

I missed Usher on the Ed Lover Radio Show (Power 105, New York Tri-State Area). BUT, thanks to technology (lol) the interview is on line for our hearing pleasure. In the interview, Usher discusses the difference between a singer and an entertainer, his relationship with his deceased father, his son, his recent visit to TRL, his basketball team (Cleveland Cavalliers), and of course his new release, "Here I Stand." It was a very great interview. Below is the link to find the interview.

http://www.power1051fm.com/main.html

Enjoy!

Post-script: I really love the growth I hear in Usher. I respect him (not only because he is my husband, ring or not).
