N Word Publication (technically/untechnically)

In this week's edition of "The Montclarion," my university's weekly editorial, this comic strip by Keith Knight (who happens to be black) was posted in the newspaper.

Many are fumed by the publishing of this comic in our newspaper and an apology was released to all the students.

*You may have to click on the image to see the full strip.*

This can be seem in many lights, some may say this is positive, some may see this as having no justification. What do you believe? Are you offended by this strip? d why would a university-based newspaper publish this comic strip in the editorial?

One more note to state is that this is not the first time that the newspaper has been in bad terms with the minority students on campus (not stating minorities as being African-American, Latino, Asian, and so on, but minority as WE are the minorities in this school's population). But now a new group is involved, the majority; the women who attend this university. This strip perceives women as incompetent. Also, when a student confronted one of the editors about the strip, the editor responded in a nonchalant matter, as though it does not matter.
